Kate McGraw

Monroe Twp. — Kate McGraw is pleased to announce her candidacy for State Representative in the 92nd Legislative District in Pennsylvania’s General Assembly. McGraw was born and raised in Monroe Township and is a lifelong Independent.

Since May, McGraw has been going door-to-door, introducing herself to Voters  throughout the 92nd District, and gathering hundreds of signatures to secure a spot on the November ballot. “The encouragement has been very positive, “ says McGraw. “Voters from all parties show great enthusiasm for supporting an Independent candidate. People want a Representative who is committed to the needs of the people, and who will listen to their concerns, roll up her sleeves and get things done.”

Kate McGraw is an acclaimed regional artist and a 1996 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School, with degrees from Penn State and Brooklyn College. Kate has broadened her knowledge in the business of farming through University of Vermont’s New Farmer Project & Women’s Agricultural Network. “Agriculture is one of our greatest assets in Pennsylvania,” McGraw says.  “As a vocal and hardworking advocate for Pennsylvania’s farmers, I am committed to preserving our farmland.” In addition to agricultural issues, McGraw’s platform focuses on restoration of state funding for our local public schools, increased health care access for populations including the elderly and those suffering from opioid addiction, and improvements in infrastructure in order to bring better paying jobs to our region.

“It’s clear that we deserve a choice on the ballot in November,” says McGraw. “Both Republicans and Democrats are tired of polarizing politics, and the same old gridlock playing out in our state’s legislature. When I tell people I’m an Independent, their eyes light up. I can tell Voters are ready for a fresh voice to represent them in Harrisburg.”

“‘Go get ‘em!’” is a common phrase heard on the campaign trail,” says McGraw.
